Module 4: selection or managing, which works better for happy relationships?
Selection or managing, which works better for happy relationships?
- Selecting the right partner is a requirement for a happy relationship and sets the stage for what is possible through management of the relationship once it has been formed. “Managing” is defined as all that is required to achieve a good end result.
- Managing a relationship is like tuning a piano: if the strings are broken, you’re just making noise. Sure relationships often take work, but if you’re putting in “Gladiator, the movie” efforts just to get along😊, you might not have selected the most compatible partner.
- The fundamentals in the relationship such as character, empathy and shared values result from a combination of nature and nurture and typically don’t change much during adult life.
